Lesson Terms

These terms define the conditions for taking lessons on Online Vietnamese VIETCAFE. By booking a lesson, users are deemed to agree to these terms.

1. Lesson Booking

Reservation (Daily): Book from the teacher search page up to 2 hours before lesson start. Booking limits depend on your plan. Daily 25-minute plan allows 1 lesson per day and up to 3 advance bookings. Daily 50-minute plan allows 2 lessons per day and up to 6 advance bookings.
Reservation (Ticket): Book from the teacher search page up to 2 hours before lesson start.
Assigned: Lessons are booked monthly.

2. Lesson Cancellation

Use the cancel/transfer function in My Page when you need to cancel.

Reservation (Daily): You can cancel in My Page. Cancellations up to 2 hours before start are treated as not taken, and you can rebook on the same day. Cancellations after 2 hours are allowed but counted as taken.
Reservation (Ticket): You can cancel in My Page. If canceled up to 2 hours before start, one ticket is returned. After that, no ticket is returned.
Assigned: You can cancel in My Page.

If canceled by teacher

When a teacher-side cancellation occurs, we notify your email address. We may provide a substitute teacher, a transfer lesson, or ticket refund as applicable.

3. Transfer Lessons

Reservation (Daily): Cancellations up to 2 hours before start are treated as not taken.
Reservation (Ticket): Cancellations up to 2 hours before start return a ticket.
Assigned: For user-side cancellations, one transfer lesson is allowed per 4 lessons (up to 1/2/3 transfers for 4/8/12-lesson monthly plans).

4. Payments

Lesson fees or ticket fees are paid in advance by bank transfer or credit card. Fees are non-refundable after payment.
If you want to pay for multiple months together, please contact us via the Contact Form.

5. Membership Cancellation

If you want to cancel membership, contact us via the Contact Form. Paid fees are non-refundable. You can still take lessons already paid for.

6. Ticket Expiration

Reservation (Ticket): Tickets expire 60 days after purchase. Expired tickets are automatically removed. If you repurchase tickets before expiration, all held tickets are extended to 60 days from the new purchase date.

7. Daily Course Expiration

Reservation (Daily): The daily course expires 31 days after application. After expiration, booking under the daily course is unavailable.

8. Course Renewal

Assigned: Renewal is available from one week before your final lesson date in My Page. If you want to change day/time/course, contact us via Contact Form.
Reservation (Daily): Renewal is available from one week before expiration in My Page. Renewal extends validity by 31 days from the current expiration date.

9. Course Change

Assigned: You can change course by contacting us.
Reservation (Daily): You can change course during the period, but the previous course is not carried over and no refund is provided. Apply from lesson course application in My Page to switch automatically after payment.

10. Teacher Change

Assigned: Teacher change is possible. However, already-started lessons may continue with the current teacher.

11. Changes to Terms

We may revise these terms without prior notice when necessary. Updated terms will be posted on this website.

12. Effective Date

Effective from April 23, 2020.
Updated on March 24, 2024 (advance booking wording added in section 1).
